And I don't mean "herbally refreshed," either. I mean on the road again!

Spent most of the day in the car: a 5.5 hour trip to Va Beach (usually a 3.5h drive), 1.5 hours back to Richmond, and another 1.5 hours home. That said, it was truly blissful. Whit finished her MBA program at GW, so it was time to celebrate at her mom's beach condo. Most of my friends were there, and we had a silly, relatively sober time pinching each other with our monkey toes and stuffing our faces with barbecue and cake. From there, I had dinner in RIC with my awesome cook of a brother, his wife, and my niece, who gets blonder and more chatty each time I see her.

Being in the car was also nice in that I had dedicated time to think about some current life situations that are raising more questions than answers. I *think* I have more of a path forward on two of them.

(I also discovered that I really love Journey's "Faithfully," against my better judgement. I'm sure Steve Perry would break another hip if he heard me sing along. )
